Dior Couture

Christian Dior just showed their Fall Couture collection in Paris...the entire collection was reminiscent of the 50's. The choice of light and sheer fabrics with the airy colors really made for an dreamy collection. We loved that Galliano threw in the leopard pieces to mix things up a bit...everyone loves a little spice. The silhouettes were very flattering and sexy, just like in the 50's. It was an exciting collection to see because with each outfit, you can envision someone wearing it. The head pieces were a great way of creating consistency and really selling the look and feel of the entire collection. The shoes were great as was the jewelry and the belts...not to mention, the make-up was spot on!

The gowns were large and dramatic...all telling a love story, in ways! The collection was beautiful...a great way to kick off the couture collections! Best part...Galliano himself striking a pose at the end of the runway.
